Moving sucks.
Moving with a newborn sucks a lot.
Have you ever tried to pack a box while holding a baby?
What about while breastfeeding?
No?
Me either...because it is nearly impossible.
Aaaaaand because I have in laws that give up entire weekends to come up (with an actual crap load of boxes) to help us.
Most the time that meant manual labor, but from time to time it meant playing with your grandson so we could pack.
Sounds easy, right?
Not our baby.
Our baby makes you work for it.
Like this: Grandma Jaye tried it all, and finally he stopped crying when she did "super baby", so guess who did "super baby" for the next hour?
You try it with a sack of potatoes for an hour and see how YOUR arms feel.
We are also blessed with friends who will come and babysit the baby while watching us pack.
He makes them work for it to. Our friend Kathie did ump-teen squats while she was here because that was what he decided he needed.
Maybe he'll be a personal trainer.
Hopefully with all the help we are getting- and the fact that now that Eli is actually interested in looking at things and playing with things (read- I can put him on his play mat or in his swing from time to time and he will ENTERTAIN HIMSELF)we will actually be able to make our move on Friday.
Whoa- that snuck up on us fast.
Here's a peak at my life
Before:
Right Now:
In other moving news- saying goodbye to my very favorite co-workers…and my VERY favorite BBQ joint- Oklahoma Joes.
Eli got to play with everyone while we waited in line- and boy were our arms thankful…babies get heavy when you hold them ALL the time. It's so much fun to introduce him to everyone.
It also gives me a chance to see him from further away- you notice more things that way, it's funny.
